I literally used to ask these questions and got IGNORED by the teacher (like he thought I might just go away). I did it often enough that my parents got complaint letters saying I was "disrupting the class" lol, "there were no signs you were losing your faith." yeah there were, you chose to ignore them.

You are A M A Z I N G Exmo Lex!

The best part about these (I'm assuming) TikTok shorts is that they are more likely to add a book to the "shelf" than a 60 minute video exposing the very same topics. From my experience with cults, the shelf has to break before people are ready for the long, in depth stuff... you gotta get them asking those little haunting questions that mess with their cognitive dissonance first.

The Nephi/Laban one ALWAYS gets me.

"We have a loving God...he only commanded someone to murder one time, but it was totally for noble purposes."

I've had that exact same question about God: after all, if he created us in his image, then why didn't he make us good? And, to add to that, if he did create us in his image, and we're not good...then what does that say about God?

There are good and valid answers to all those questions. I grew up RLDS/CoC and rebaptized as a Restorationist .. you have to study the historical contextual Hebraic understanding of the Old Testamant understanding at 600 BC and before.

THANK YOU! Have some missionaries who have been visiting. They keep giving me passages. But I read around them for context...
They just keep telling me to read with an open heart and mind.

I think it's interesting one of the deadliest gunfighters of the old west was Joe Smiths friend and bodyguard Porter Rockwell! This guy was something for the record books!

Oh man! I used to drive my EM Seminary teacher crazy with my questions while reading the BOM! The Brother's of Jared ships were something I perseverated on for a good week. The ships were holding animals and would flip around as it crossed the ocean. I saw a logistical nightmare. What happens to all the feces? Was there zero gravity? Sounds smelly and messy to me.

Races come from when God divided the people in different Nations and tongues when they were building the tower of babel. Jospeh Smith used this in the most disturbing way and tried to manipulate the true living word to fit his narrative.

That reminds me of "The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few or the one." Wait, are Vulcans Mormon? 🀣
