Crazy to think that a neutral person could win the presidency. We often forget that the president is not soppost to be the chief politician, he is the commander in chief and soppost to execute the laws. You don’t have to be a politician to execute the laws.

My great uncle told a story about how, when Eisenhower was president, he visited our area of Oklahoma to see drought conditions or something, landing at the nearby little airport. My great uncle and his siblings asked my great grandpa if they could go see the president, and my great grandpa said no.
Apparently my great grandpa did not like Eisenhower, after serving under him in WWII.
I wish I’d asked my great grandpa about stuff like that while he was still here.
