Not the right test for a vise. Grab a flat bar in it and hammer it; does it slip in the vise?

I guess it is cool that you can articulate it like that without detaching it from the bench..?

But most (good) bench vices have upwards of 2500 pounds of gripping force, and machinist vices float upwards of 12,000 pounds of force. So this test is kinda just, meh.

Especially considering they are using a piece of lumber, and holding it in the absolute weakest way a board could resist load.
