IIRC, they did use the season 2's Paramount jingle in the "rising circle" logo on occasion... namely in "Star Trek" epi's.

Yeah...this episode came on early this morningâCBS stripped the Paramount logos out and dropped in a âMannixâ logo and A CBS Studios Production. I wish they'd left the rising moon in, but nope. :(

Im trying to think of a better, catchier TV theme song, and just can't. The theme is worthy of the show and Mike Connors.

I retract my comment from 4 years ago. This is actually a recreation. CBS indeed removed the PTV logo on the DVD release. I can confirm this because I watched the DVD I rented from my local library.
