My dad showed me this movie when i turned twelve. It's kind of like how you can just have statues in public that are highly detailed and fully nude: it's such an incredible work of art the obscenity is irrelevant.

I was 10 when I saw Goodfellas. My dad took my 15 year old brother and I out with some of my dad’s friends while their wives had an Avon party. I wanted to see Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. My brother said…”you’re gonna see the guys the Ninja Turtles fight.” First 5 minutes my mouth was open. That movie was a college education to a 10 year old.
