Some people want the "right" headstock badge & can't see further than that. Accurate fretting, playability & tuning stability don't matter if it's only ever going to be part of the "guitarist costume" they like to wear.

I have a Gibson Les Paul Standard that I bought brand new back in 1978 for $550 and yes I still have that guitar to this day and it plays great!

Got 3 les Paulβs two Gibson and one chibson the Gibsons were 2k each, got six hundred in the chib including case and it blows the Gibsons away I canβt put it down itβs aged beautifully, the two Gibsons do collect dust better.

If you're spending thousands on an electric guitar, you're being ripped off, period. There is no argument or discussion about it. You're paying exorbitant profit margin, it does not cost 2-3k to make a good sounding electric guitar in 2021. It doesn't even cost 1k to build a good sounding electric guitar, you can build one on an assembly line and hand intonate it for under $100.

The Fakes are getting just as good as the real ones everything is done with perfect tolerances I had a $99 SX P90 Les Paul that was the bomb

High end Epiphone Les Paul. Just got an Epiphone 1959 Les Paul Standard made in conjunction with the Gibson Custom Shop. Gibson pickups, CTS pots, Mallory capacitors, Switchcraft USA pickup selector switch & output jack & brown case with pink lining just like the original 1959's for $799 brand new!!! Plus Epiphones aren't copies, they are fully authorized Les Pauls.
