Just because you have a plan it doesn't mean you can't change your mind.... however I now have a 6" deep pan so I can try out a bigger lasanga!

To get together vibe I think it Needed a third batch in the middle; a warm yellow to yellow to yellowy green to green

If it's not an idea you already had, I'd try this again and split it over 3 pans. Do the red, oranges, etc, like you did before. The reds, the oranges, and the yellows stacked as well, and layer a single yellow with a teeeeeeeeennnny itttty bittty bit of orange, I mean the SMALLEST addition, then do the greens and blues and purples in seperate pans again. Giving each of the 3 primary groups thier own colors to go from and it might do what these reds did in the same way, and be entirely duplicatable. Doing a red and orange pan, yellow and green pan, and blue and purples pan batch this way and see if the dyes repeat what the red-orange batches did here. The way they went from color to color, is GOREGOUS, and your descriptionis so spot on and right - subtle. It's such a gentle, subtle, borderline precise transtion, or I'd almost call it a perfect gradient to be completely honest.

Do you know of anywhere ..or does anyone here know of anywhere that i can get samples of different sizes of machine knitting yarn. I want to buy some cones but i want to see how different sixed yarns look on ky 3.6mm pitch guage 7 machine... and i cant find anywhere who will send me sixe samples from lace up to 4 ply. They will send me colour samples but not size!! And i need to see and feel the yarn im not going to pick it based on the very vague and confusing ply and weight which really isnt helfpul imo..
