I NEEDED this, that's what I'm currently doing at the moment. I've been on YouTube for a year and just on January I started switching things up and blew up my 2 channels. I'm currently making around $500 a month but the channel is still at a growth stage. I know I need to drop out if I want to maintain the momentum I already have built up so I told my parents (Who are paying for my education) that I need some time until class goes from online to real life (idk what the word is in English). So I think I only have until the end of the year to start earning more than $1000 per month in order to be able to convince them that I need to focus on this full time (So that I can avoid going back to uni). I always felt dumb because I underperform in the academic world and I see no future for me in it, but now I'm finally developing my confidence since I feel I'm above average at what I'm doing on YouTube and social media in general in the future.

See I agree with you 100% (besides the fact, in my opinion, college is the most useless thing you can do Bc it’s a piece of paper that proves you spend time and money in something). But I’m paying for it mainly and I have a year left

That's a big what if situation imo. Better finish your degree while doing yt or streaming. Being a content creator isn't really a stable source of income so having a backboard to be able to work elsewhere is a good investment

don't worry about what other people think, I did and now I'm a 29yo who quit a corporate career instead of being a 21yo graduate. Would have been much better for me to do this at 21 when I didn't have a mortgage etc.

*Asian parents have entered the chat* haha. My buddy Nathan tried this and makes over 150k a year now. To this day his parents tell him he needs to finish his degree even though the career he could have with it (assuming he even needs a degree for that career) pays closer to 80k a year haha.
