You lose so much damage because either you team doesn’t have a gjhally proc until your done with your whole briar bind setup or if you reverse the order you don’t have a tractor debuff for everyone’s first few rockets, there are plenty of perfectly good swaps for gjhally and tractor players. Not to mention your on void

Hold up! So is the Child taking & continuing Tractor's debuff? Since they can't stack, the game takes the higher value. Normally, Child has a 15% Weakening effect & Tractor has 30%, but Tractor needs to be refreshed every 10s. If the Child is taking over the 30% debuff by applying it within those 10s, that's actually huge bc it lasts way longer & can be quickly reapplied with Briarbinds. Plus, it feeds you grenade energy to use with Undermining (also 15%).
Is that what's happening here? I'd love to know! Even if the Child is only doing 15%, it's still a decent rotation 😄👍 Thanks for posting!
Edit: Based on the damage numbers shown with & without Tractor, there is roughly a 15% difference. So it would seem that the Child really is extending Tractor! Otherwise, the difference would be much smaller, bc you'd only get 15% more damage for the first 10s rather than the entire damage phase (right

For those unaware, this works due to a weird hidden mechanic called debuff extension. Basically, a higher debuff, like the 30% from tractor, can be extended by applying a smaller debuff to the target. So even though the void buddy normally only applies a 15% debuff, if you use tractor first, it will extend it instead.
Its important to note that this doesn't work for everything. Some debuffs cannot be extended this way, such as the teather debuff. I haven't tested it, but I wonder if the solar debuffs from the artifact can do this.
