As a kid watching the Padres in 2010, Matt Stairs was a pinch hitting deity to me, and actually one of the most memorable members of the roster. I vividly remember being excited every time I saw him come up to pinch hit on TV.

I remember when he was a rookie with the Expos in the early 90's. Didn't get regular playing time til he went to the A's. He was underrated as hell when in his prime.
