The three formulas in the video
Method 1: =SORTBY(A13:B36,RANDARRAY(24))
Method 2: =SORTBY(A13:B36,RANDARRAY(COUNTA(A13:B36)))
Method 3: =RAND() next to each row and sort by the random column

Welcome to another Excel tutorial! In this #shorts video, we will be learning how to randomly sort a list in Excel. This is a useful skill to have when working with large datasets or when you want to mix things up in your data analysis. So, let's dive in and learn three different ways to randomly sort a list in Excel.

The first method involves using the SORTBY function. First, we need to count the number of items in our list. In this example, we have 24 items. Then, we use the SORTBY function and select our list as the first argument. Next, we use the RANDARRAY function to generate a random number for each item in our list. Finally, we close the brackets and hit enter. Every time we press F9, a new version of the list will be generated with a different random order.

The second method is useful when you don't know the exact number of items in your list or if the list is constantly changing. We use the COUNTA function to count the number of non-empty cells in our list. Then, we follow the same steps as the first method to generate a new random order every time we press F9. This method is great for dynamic lists that are constantly being updated.

The third method is for those who are using an older version of Excel that does not have the SORTBY function. We simply add a new column and use the RAND function to generate a random number for each item in our list. Then, we sort the data in ascending order and voila! A new random order for our list. Don't forget to like, subscribe, and ring the bell for more Excel tips and tricks. And as always, feel free to leave any questions or comments down below. Happy sorting!
