Too close. There’s a fine line where these perform the best. Shoot them too close and it will only crit hit. Too far and it will detonate in the air. If it loses sight of target (trees or it’s too dark) it will self detonate. The A-10 Late however gets AIM54D’s which use thermals and can be shot twice as far.
