this looks just like a fabric used historically for royalty. it was called "changeable" because in the clothes the threads going one way were gold and threads going in the opposite direction were red. When you moved the fabric around, back and forth it would shimmer, hence the term "changeable".

Omg random but I remember an old Japanese minecraft mod I played with called momiji (or maybe the items in the mod had momiji in the name) and it was a fall colored tree/leaf/treat mod! So now knowing what that means it makes sense :) thanks!
