By movie lore i dont feel that could be right. It feels like Plagius would have been dead at least a decade or so by the time Phantom Meance would happen. Sidious wouldnt walk around with an aprentice calling himself Master if his Master (who was concerned with immortality) wasnt for sure dead.

Maul didn't die until the events of episode 4 the night before obi wan resuced Luke from the sand people he killed maul (last episode of rebels buddy) plageuis died when the senate elected Palpatine to chancellor during episode 1. This is inaccurate
