Many years ago on the North Side of Chicago, the vowed religious community that I formerly belonged to purchased and used 3 six-flats as residences for our college seminarians. Some years later the program moved, and the community donated one of the six-flats as housing for the homeless.
A lot of the neighbors were not happy with this. However, the single family home of a local firefighter! burned down and his family became the first occupants of the apartment building.
People have got to expand outside their bubble because things that happen to other people, can damn well happen to you!

People are commenting on insurance. Well homeowners insurance has gone up in some areas as much as 200% and people can’t afford it. I doubt these people had insurance please pray for God to continue to provide for them . At least they have the camper, many don’t even have that

We lost home too many years ago I don't feel any sympathy for no one in America we paid taxes all these years we didn't get free housing 🏡 but thank God we are not homeles
