I bought 710 in m390 around 10 years ago. But it fully lost comparison with Military and I sold it without any doubts.
And I have near 10 Vostok Amphibia+Komandirskie - yes, good for me :)

I actually just purchased my very first Benchmade 2 days ago on BLADEHQ. It's also going to be my very first auto, it's the Osborne 9400 with the black blade.... I wish I would have went with the silver blade since I have like 4 black blades already.... Anyways, love your content! You're the reason why my very first OTF was the Kershaw Livewire tanto!

I got a 530 Perdue used
(It was a knife I had a long time ago and gave to someone and I’ve always missed it as I liked the feel hand and elegant look)
I was seeking your council
And expertise
I’m not fond of the axis bar lock thumb piece
Or the
Thumb studs on the blade
I feel they ate ugly
And they don’t feel good to use as they have a sharp edge!!
My question is
If I were to get some parts
Like Frankenstein
Which model benchmade
Has compatible thumb studs and axis lock bar thumb piece
With the pardue 530

It’s a good knife (530)
And has infidel vibes without the infidel price tag
I gave my original pardue 530 to a girl a long time ago
and even I’ve gotten more valuable awesome knives
I always found myself missing this little 130 dollar knife
It’s just the hardware that sucks on it
It’s not aesthetically pleasing and doesn’t feel machined when opening and closing
I got mine on EBay
And as much as I’d like to give it to you ( as you are one of my knife mentors)
I have to hold on to it because it’s hard to find those discontinued knives out there
The Pardue 531
Is even more appealing
And they are on eBay as well
I’m gonna do some recon and try to make a Frankenstein 530

In this video I’m having some fun pretending it’s year 1999 and I’m doing an opening and first impressions video on Benchmade 710 . I wish this was a first production copy but this one was made in 2009 or 2010. Let me know if you own one ad how it held up!
