Have something wrong with my f100 it has the 223 inline 6 when I installed a brand new mechanical fuel pump it wouldn’t pump anything after some diagnosing I figured out the cam lobe on the crank doesn’t depress the fuel pump arm enough to pump anything so I just wired up an electric pump

Used to do this on humvees back in the army they have the old mechanical pump that feeds thier injector pumps and they go out more frequently than I’ve seen on anything else why? Idk but they do

Its simpler using grease, ive never had to use a bolt. Your making something harder than it has to be.

Old school fuel pump. Cool. My '71 Impala had one of these. Had to replace it too. Used a screw driver to hold the pushrod in place.
