As someone who uses Raiden because of her playstyle and because katanas are cool, I must agree that she fails as a character, and this was made even more obvious when Furina came out. I'm actually frustrated with the way they handled Ei in the story. It feels like the writers just gave up and made it like she wasn't at fault for anything because it was her Android and not her that enacted the vision hunt decree. They actually turned a badass character with intimidating presence from 2.0 to softy waifu bait that makes no sense since she's suppose to represent the "Warrior" that fought enemies instead of Makoto.

Honestly this is why I don't want to associate myself with any stan army Genshin or otherwise. Because if you're in that environment, it's more than likely you won't be able to register criticism against the person you're looking up to because all you'll be thinking of is that it's an us against them situation when more often than not people are just pointing out what they're observing. And just to clarify, I feel like you can both have the character but still hate the way they're written in the story. I have Raiden but that doesn't stop me from criticizing her actions and how she got basically 0 consequences from what she did.
As someone who follows Formula 1 where fanbases can really tear each other apart just for even the smallest of things, I know that problem very well.
