When we think about Vikram Vedha, the interrogation scene is the first thing that comes to mind, thanks to the powerful dialogues between Vijay Sethupathi and Madhavan. But did you know the inspiration for those dialogues came from Crazy Mohan?
Good Night Manikandan, the dialogue writer of Vikram Vedha, revealed in an interview that he was initially stuck while writing the interrogation scene. He couldn’t come up with impactful lines. Later, while watching Pammal K. Sambandam, he was struck by a line Kamal Haasan delivers: “Even a kite has a tail; so tell me, can a monkey fly?” This line implies that two things might seem similar but are inherently different.
Using this idea as a base, Manikandan crafted the interrogation scene where Vedha compares himself to Vikram, showing that while they might seem alike, Vedha is not like Vikram but something entirely different. That’s how the iconic dialogues of the interrogation scene were written!
