The KTM 250 Duke and the Suzuki Gixxer 250 are remarkably similar in how they feel to ride and picking either is a safe bet. However, the Gixxer is about Rs 60,000 less. So how do you decide? Well, first, if you're stretching your budget, the Gixxer 250 is an old motorcycle now, soldiering on without updates, but that doesn't make it a poor motorcycle. It is fast, it is sweet and it is really high quality as well, nothing else comes close to the quality that Suzuki offers today. However, the Gixxer's problem is that it's a bit dull as a riding experience and the market really has moved to offer a better riding experience. Suzuki Service, unfortunately, also has a spotty reputation with some reporting poor experiences with parts availability while KTM service, despite its reputation does a very good job of managing its bikes. The KTM is the faster, sportier of the two and now, almost just as comfortable as the Suzuki in most conditions. So you cannot really go wrong, but the KTM looks like the better all-rounder of the two for sure.
