APR 23, 2024: Hoshi gave birth for the last time overnight, to five beautiful, healthy kittens! Mom and babies are doing great, although we are monitoring Hoshi closely for potential mastitis. We just HAD to go with a donut theme, given Hoshi's deep love for her emotional support donut:
1 - F grey tabby tuxie - Thing-a-ling
2 - M brown tabby tuxie - Long John
3 - M brown tabby tuxie - Bear claw
4 - M grey tabby tuxie - Jelly Roll (also, does he look a little bit like βͺ@JellyRollβ¬ ??)
5 - F black/white tuxie - Eclair
Hoshi is the first pregnant cat to show up at our Happy Forest feral colony since late 2020. π
We first started TNR at our Happy Forest feral colony in 2015. 426 cats later, we have the colony very well stabilized and are helping them age as gracefully as possible. When new kitties like Hoshi show up, we do maintenance TNR to keep the colony from growing again. Mom and babies will all be spayed and neutered, then adopted into amazing homes. π
