In recent years, for me, its been the seemingly immense need for intense action and nothing but that action. Don't get me wrong, I can admit its fun to have just pure action: hellsing ultimate is one of my favourite animes and it is pure action. But every relevant anime I see nowadays just lacks any feeling of indepth story and plot. Maybe code geass spoiled me but I miss the animes which made me stop, think and go "yeah, thats kinda wicked but fucked up"

Mine is DENSE RELATIONSHIP CHARACTERS. It always starts funny but after a few episodes of the same ass stuff of "attempt at romance, character is too dense to notice" happens non stop with NO progress, it gets old rather quick. Only factors that make this trope worse for me is if the setting is a harem th obviously loves him but he is too stupid to notice, its a romance anime and the relationship is the main plot and the denseness is what kills the plot, or both male and female mcs like eachother but one or the other is too dense to realize for serveral episodes.

My biggest. Is everything one piece. I would be neutral to one piece but the toxic side of the fan base really turned me away from it. I liked it but after a while it just didn’t have the same appeal it used to. And when I tell people why I stopped. They jump straight into name calling and trying to bash whatever anime I like even if they like it too. So now they are the reason I stopped.
