Had it for a year till entire tank infected... Did all 4 treatments, then threw rocks out. No preditors ate it. Reeflux worked to a point, but killed other stuff, left top layers of my sand dead/ black, and ten saw all the other beginner tank invaler algaes till multiple water changes and lots of dead replacement sand gobies and Tangs got me back to normal. The crappy part was I got the infection from the local dealer on a coral to start with. So lesson is :Treat all your new purchases prior to entry in your main systems.

Tried manual removal for 6 months, consistently came back.
Tried CUC but nothing would eat it.
Tried running my skimmer 24/7 and Phosphate remover.
Tried refugium
Phosphates maintenance at .03 and nonetheless nothing worked. My last ditch effort. In the middle of reeflux dosing. 5 days in and it's all dying. Hopefully it stays that way
