years ago they changed the gas cans , I guess to help the environment, but like I told a person yesterday all they do now is cause you to spill gas. if I needed a gas can I would look for a very old one. back when they actually worked

I just bought a set of replacement nozzles with seperate vents off of Amazon. Was like $15 for 4 sets.

For a vent you can use a tire valve stem with the core taken out. I used welding wire to fish it through the hole I drilled.

I'm in Southern Arizona and store my gas cans in a shady area outside. I open the lid to the stop and that helps relieve pressure buildup which over time will split the seams in the can body.

You can still buy the good ones in Canada. No valve, AND it has a proper vent.

I actually like the Midwest cans as far as the quality of the can itself. All of my gas/diesel cans have the spouts replaced with these ones called "EZ Pour", they come with a vent too. Great products when combined.
