My £1.75 DIY London bus tour route ⬇️ Comment HOPPER and I’ll send you the full details 💅

💾 Save this for the future and share with someone who would love this too!

Some London sightseeing bus companies charge you over £40 EACH to go on their tours, so I did my own version for just £1.75 using the Transport for London buses!! 💸

Here’s the route I took:

📍Starting at the Tower of London
🚍 15 Bus in the direction Trafalgar Square

I then hopped off at Savoy Street and took an 8 minute walk to Covent Garden, and of course, found enough time to sneak in a swift half at The Punch & Judy pub🍺
It was then a 7 minute walk to Leicester Square where I had to treat myself to a Greggs - NATURALLY 🥧

Then it was time to make the most of the ‘hopper’ fare, which is where TfL let you ride as many buses as you want for £1.75 within the first hour of tapping in - and I just made it onto the next bus in time!!

📍Starting at Leicester Square
🚍 24 bus in the direction of Pimlico

It was then a short walk from St James’ Park stop where I got off in order to finish at Buckingham Palace 🏰🇬🇧

There’s even more routes you could possible take - I’ve listed everything in more detail over on the website. Comment ‘HOPPER’ and I’ll send you the link!

And don't forget for just £5.25 you can travel ALL DAY on TfL buses with the daily bus fares cap. So no need to rush !!!

london transport nerd here - it’s not advertised but the bus hopper fare actually lasts for 70 minutes to allow for some grace period and is probably why the second bus ride was free. 15 and 24 is a very good route choice, but the 26 also does the route from st paul’s to st james’ park (for buckingham palace) as well so that might help.

Surprised JR didn't ask you to get a quick clip of Radio X while you were in the square

The Number 11 from Liverpool Street Stn to Sloane Square is an alternative - you get the Bank of England instead of the Shard/Sky Garden

O am going to London with my 10year old son and would love to do the double-decker bus tour but this is brilliant. I did see there are different lines for the hop on hop off correct? Can you combine them with just the one ticket? Where did you get the ticket? Thank you
