Alonso almost single handed beat the Cubs quite a few games. He's a Star in this lineup. Mets tho, hate us for the Pca trade, and Mets 1st player they gonna ask for is Pca. I love Tauchman. How sure are we he gets better or is atleast as good as he was this year? Idk. That said, we have other OFs. I'm sure we could offer other high prospects. But Mets will want Pca.

Almost certainly costs PCA back and probably another top 5 prospect. I also think that would mean they are letting go on Bellinger, or at least hedging the bet he'll sign elsewhere. If they got both, the line up would be scary.

I’d go hard and all in on Juan Soto. It’s gonna take a lot but seriously, if Belli isn’t an option, that’s all you gotta do is trade for Soto. One year deal or not. Don’t matter. Teams like one year deals even in a trade. Then you pour every resource you have into signing starting pitching and back end bullpen pieces. Juan Soto checks all the boxes on replacing Bellinger. Honestly, the Cubs should pony up and play like the big boys and sign Belli and trade for Soto at the same time. PS: I’m still sore that Cubs let Schwarber walk and didn’t even think twice on signing Nick Castellanos that one season he tore up Wrigley Field. SMH.
