To be fair Ash you taught high level music theory for a period of time pretty much 5 days a week!! You're absolutely right ,however that "very quickly" only comes from similar dedication to the craft!! # Would love if you also taught music theory going into things like serial counterpoint...etc. 🤟👍

A good example is a piece I'm learning has the left hand repeat a pattern for most bars in different positions. I looked and saw that it would go core note, a 5th, 4th after that, then a 3rd, and another 3rd. Then all I needed to do was read the first note in the measure and keep my hand position to work up the notes going with D, A, D, F, A, then next measure starts at C so it automatically goes C, G, C, E, G, etc. Basically I just need to read where my pinky goes and the rest follows.

That’s why learning solfeg can be helpful everyone learning music because it teaches scale structure and intervals in a way that clicks for a lot of musicians
