I had tonsil stones before I knew what tonsil stones were. I’d take a Q-tip and stick them in the crevices on the sides of my throat to get them out. Then I changed to a plastic comedone extractor to push them out. I called it popping my tonsils. It wasn’t until I started watching YouTube that I knew what they were called. I think if you can stay ahead of them, you don’t have to have your tonsils out. Mine finally disappeared. I still have my tonsils.
