To commemorate the Titanic and St. Regis founder John Jacob Astor IV who was on board at the time of the sinking, The St. Regis Atlanta held 100 Years & 100 Bottles on April 10 (the same day that the Titanic left Southampton on its ill-fated maiden voyage). The event featured Titanic-inspired hors d'oeuvres and a special champagne sabering of 100 bottles of Heidsieck champagne -- the same label served to guests aboard the Titanic -- by the hotel's Sommelier and Wine Director Harry Constantinescu.

The celebratory practice of sabering champagne dates back to Napoleon Bonaparte's French cavalry and has also become an established St. Regis tradition of art and skill.

Harry finished sabering the 100 bottles in an astonishing 7 minutes 21 seconds.
