In this motovlog we travel from Pleiku to Buon Ma Thuot, well technically Lien Son as we decided about 30km before Buon Ma Thuot we, although in pain form riding 180km, had enough energy in us to ride the next 50km to Lien Son. We are so glad we made this choice, the last 25km of the ride were stunning, driving through rice paddies, waving kids and even seeing elephants walking in the streets.

The ride itself at the beginning was very mundane, we described it as a “smaller QL1”.
I (Jason) had certain regrets about coming off the coastal road to ride the HCM road when all we were getting was similar roads and traffic. But as we arrived at our final destination, those feelings went away.

We both made it here with our fuel completely empty, it was a risk but it paid off… gladly there was a Petrolimex only 500m away from our hotel.

This is the 8th episode of our motorbiking journey through the wonderful country of Vietnam and we not only hope to arrive safely in Ho Chi Minh but to experience this beautiful country as much possible and to document it for anyone watching (including our future selves).
