The Govt is offering a Rs 10 Lakh subsidy for people to set up a small Food Processing business...
This is under the PMFME Scheme (PM Formalization of Micro Food Processing Enterprises), and here are the details...
👉🏼 The Govt is willing to fund up to 35% of the cost of the set up, up to a maximum of Rs 10 lakhs in your business...
👉🏼 Under the scheme, they’re also offering you a loan of up to 90% of the cost of the project... 10% being your own contribution, and from the loan amount, 35% of the project cost up to Rs 10 lakhs will be paid to the bank by the Govt
👉🏼 Till date, there have been close to 250k applications, out of which 36% have had the funding sanctioned, and it has already been disbursed to ~71k applicants (i.e. 28%)
👉🏼 The application has to be made on the website at PMFME. MOFPI .gov.in where you select your district of operation, scale of the project, and upload a project report describing the cost and the expected future financial projections
👉🏼 Clubbing benefits of the CGTMSE Scheme along with this will also give you the benefit of not giving any property as collateral to the bank, and there can be a discount of 3% on your interest rate under the AIF Scheme (Agri Infra Financing)
👉🏼 Traders, Retailers, Wholesalers are not eligible. Only a small time manufacturer would be given this benefit.
