Throne and Liberty is a massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) developed and published by NCSoft. It was published in North America, South America, Europe, and Japan by Amazon Games.
The game was originally part of the Lineage series and a sequel to the first Lineage, but was repurposed and restructured well into development. The game was first announced as Lineage Eternal in November 2011 but suffered numerous delays in its release schedule. The first South Korea closed beta took place in 2016. NCSoft renamed the game Project TL in 2017 and Throne and Liberty in 2022.

Not to mention Ubisoft+ claims to have like 50 plus games when in realty they have multiple versions of the same game counting as separate games. For example they have the standard version of Farcry 6 and the deluxe version count as two games. To say that Gamepass and Ubisoft+ are the same is quite literally absurd.

Ubisoft is only worth a 1 month membership when a new title drops you want to play. Simply pay, play and cancel the useless membership. If you treat it more like paying 20 for a months rental of a game, it becomes good value

Also game pass perks are nice. Free outfit for throne and liberty, free skins and paint for the first descendant. Free movies, there’s a lot of free stuff there under perks.

Don't forget that every Microsoft owned/created game will always be on GP. That includes every Halo game, Every Bethesda/id game, every Obsidian game, etc.

Not to mention Gamepass Ultimate is essentially 3 subscription services rolled into 1. Gamepass, live and (I believe) EA Play are all separate subscriptions.

As someone with Gamepass, I've gotten a $50 to $70 game almost every month, sometimes more than one a month, for years.
Games I never would have considered that went on to be favorites, some of which I've later bought because they left Gamepass.
Just picked up Black Ops 6 to play with a buddy who got it.

if I had to guess, maybe from the commenter's perspective, they were comparing 2 identical services (free game access, paid monthly) so it should feel the same, hence why they're so mad that one option is favored over the other

not to mention gamepass has regional pricing, here in southeast asia it's about $3 while ubisoft+ is the same price as in the west.
It's over 50% cheaper to get both a gamepass AND a geforce now (also regionally priced at about $8 a month for the RTX) subscription than just getting ubisoft+.
