Sixth steel truss installed on world's tallest bridge

Recently, the construction of the world's highest bridge - Guizhou Huajiang Gorge Bridge has made important progress: as the cable crane accurately lifted the sixth steel truss weighing about 215 tons to the designated position, the bridge construction entered a new stage, laying the foundation for its opening to traffic next year.

　　It is understood that the installation of steel trusses is an important part of the main structure construction of the bridge. After all the lifting is completed, the bridge will carry out the main cable winding and painting operations, and at the same time install the steel beams and bridge deck auxiliary structures. According to the current construction plan, the Huajiang Gorge Bridge is expected to be closed around the Spring Festival next year.

　　According to the contractor Guizhou Bridge Group, the main bridge of Huajiang Gorge Bridge has 93 steel truss beam segments with a total weight of more than 21,000 tons. The first segment was hoisted on that day. After the cables hoisted the steel truss beam to the designated position, they were rotated 90 degrees to connect and fix it.

　　The Huajiang Gorge Bridge, which will be started in 2022, is named after the Huajiang Grand Canyon, which is known as the "crack in the earth". It is a key project of the Liuzhi-Anlong Expressway in Guizhou Province. The 2,890-meter-long bridge is a steel truss suspension bridge with a vertical height of 625 meters from the water surface. After completion, it will become the new world's tallest bridge.

世界第一高桥第六节钢桁架安装完成

近日，世界第一高桥——贵州花江峡谷大桥建设取得重要进展：随着缆索起重机将重约215吨的第六节钢桁架准确吊装至指定位置，大桥建设进入新阶段，为明年通车奠定基础。

据了解，钢桁架安装是大桥主体结构施工的重要环节，全部吊装完成后，大桥将进行主缆绕缆、涂装作业，同时进行钢梁及桥面辅助结构安装。按照目前的施工计划，花江峡谷大桥预计将于明年春节前后合龙。

据承建方贵州桥梁集团介绍，花江峡谷大桥主桥共有93节钢桁梁节段，总重量超过2.1万吨，当天首节段顺利吊装完成。缆索将钢桁梁吊到指定位置后，旋转90度进行连接固定。

将于2022年开工的花江峡谷大桥，因有“地裂”之称的花江大峡谷而得名，是贵州省六枝至安龙高速公路重点工程。大桥全长2890米，为钢桁梁悬索桥，距水面垂直高度625米，建成后将成为新的世界第一高桥。
