I think KCl is used as a replacement for NaCl in low-sodium and no-sodium salt, but apparently it doesn't taste as good.

Was a professional brewer for a little while, and a massive aspect of our recipes was wet chemistry. The industry uses many different salts to fine tune that mouthfeel and flavor profile, which can become quite a vast field to play with considering all the different grains and hop species you can use

I’m from germany and diet coke is my favorite actually. Seeing all the Americans hate it makes me question if they’re using different ingredients for diet coke in different parts of the world

Slightly nerdy question. Why did you make up the solutions in volumetric flasks if you were just going to saturate them. Also since they are saturated you can't accuratly tell the conc, sure we have solubility of different salts but that's a different temperatures and pressures etc. I just think if you wanted to be as accurate as possible you should have just made like a 1M solution or something of each salt.

I actually like the taste of aspartame. It's less rich than sugar, which means it causes less disruption to the flavor and texture of whatever you added it to. Aspartame limeade lets more of the astringency of the limes come through than comparable sugar limeade.

You shouldn't try to make Diet Coke taste like Coke because they're not formulated to taste the same to begin with. Coke could have made Diet taste like Original but they were targeting a different flavor profile
