Newborn stage is all about survival. You just do whatever it takes for you and your baby/family to power through the next day. But if I could give a little tip that really seemed to help my babies LOVE bath time- I would put a portable heater in the bathroom and enclose it for a few minutes before bath time to make sure the room was nice and toasty. Almost like a sauna where it wasn’t uncomfortable if you were naked and standing there without a towel. Babies (especially newborns) are so used to the warmth of the womb, so I wanted to recreate the womb during bath time as much as possible and it made for the most relaxing baths. Which was all around much more relaxing for everyone. I didn’t have to get anxious hearing my baby cry or worrying about waking up toddlers with the crying. And after bath- a little skin to skin nursing while I lotioned them up so the lotion wasn’t so jarring and cold.
Try warming up an enclosed area and I bet there will be no fussing or crying! ❤️

That cry is so cute, but in the moment so panicking for the mama! So beautiful and real about time and how long it takes to get the baby down for the night, and trying to have a lil time for yourself too! 🥲 You got this mama

Great job mom… don’t worry about baby crying the whole bath time, as they’re learning to adjust to their new life outside Eeeeeverything annoys them 🥹😅 but it gets better with time and eventually they looove bath time 😘🥰🙏 🛁

My mom had to remind me that babies are use to being so warm inside our tummies and life is much colder for them. I put the heat up in the house for bath time and he always has an under shirt on, socks and warm clothes in general. Also for baths I turn the shower on to heat the bathroom/ baby tub before putting him in. He’s never cried once; I really feel like it’s because I make sure he’s as warm as possible

A tip I learned was wrap them/swaddle then submerge them in the bath. With the swaddle on, then gently unwrap while in the water. Never cried again! Works!

To all dad in the world, moms go through a tough time after giving birth. Do your part when it comes to taking care of the baby. Try to do as much as you can. The new mom is still in pain. It would be hard for her to do the most. It's esp, emotionally demanding, and her hormones are still playing havoc whith her emotions. 🙏❤
