This would only work if their current selves reflect the fake past they make for themselves. Most of the time, it doesn't, it shows, it rubs off on the kids, and they don't end up well. My parents have always been blatantly honest of who they were in the past, who they wished they were like and reasons not to do things because of how badly it ended for them. Fair to say, I've been staying away from lots of things like it's the plague since I was a child.

Im 16 and tryna get my life together and form good habits and stuff already so that I can show my kids how to be functional and logical and have good habits that will help them through life 😅 so far I'm doing ok lol
