So instead of taking accountability for wasting the other persons time, you must embrace empathy for them, why it is better for them to leave them. The bends you girls go through to avoid saying "just be a dick, tell them you aren't in love with them anymore, and move on". But you don't do that, you and yet, you'll likely still will make them feel like crap, because you aren't in love with them anymore. Embrace the suck, its gonna suck anyway. Yes, you wasted all that time, and no, the good moments aren't going to outweigh the periods of time where you were in doubt about the relationship. Sucks it took you that long. Now you both are going to feel like shit.
