Every HPDE session I've been to, the driver meeting makes it very clear "If they caught you, they're faster, point them by, and then LET THEM BY". Always blows my mind when I see videos like this.

Never understood that, giving a point by and then drag racing them on the straight! I fully lift off the throttle, till they are past me, and then proceeded on my way⌠itâs really not that difficult! Makes the whole session go smootherđ¤ˇââ

Same thing happens in karting. People canât seem to fathom that I caught you, therefore Iâm faster than you.

This is the downside of being on track with a bunch of porsches because they aren't usually as good of a driver so you get stuck behind them and can't overtake on the straight I've had to deal with this in a civic type r because I was driving way faster in the corners but way slower in straights so I was kinda mad

Man! When that happens to me on track & they don't let me by. I use my cars horn to get their attention and make them realize to get out of the way.
