Or the owners are assholes, my dad have away our two expensive breed cats because they were trying to sell the home and the cats were "an annoyance", they were just existing in their own home. A guy lied to my parents saying he was a first time cat owner and wanted a adult cat to start with. Turned out he was a dealer/trader and sold the cats for some profit.

I'm willing to bet money that these are either:
A. From a random cat mom and the family needed to get rid of the litter asap because money be tight.
OR
B. These cats used to be pets of someone before they broke up with a psycho partner, and said psycho ex stole them to be a D-bag. That's still a crime tho so they had to get rid of em f a s t.

Dad literally got our cat from the trash, someone stuffed the little kitten in a plastic box and threw it out. Dad saw lots of cats growling around the bin and heard a faint meow.
Turns out someone threw away a Maine coon kitten 😭 also his paw broke and healed in a crooked way
Doctor said he’s fine and it’ll be painful process to straighten it
So we’ve let him be. It’s been 7+ years now
