In the UK, for under 18s, metal braces are free on the first time. The orthodontist said that Invisalign was £3000 so... I now have metal braces

Heads up from when I got Invisalign, I was teething like a newborn baby or pup. Chewing on the little rubber tube they give you gives a slight feeling of relief but it’s risky since it’s a small piece of rubber that’s going into your mouth and with the risk of choking. But they were still an amazing choice and I don’t regret wearing them at all. Just make sure to stay consistent with the aligners you get and the retainers

I’m on week 12 of Invisalign and also 28 weeks pregnant. It’s been pretty smooth sailing honestly.

I honestly prefer classic braces. I don't have to remember to put them on if i have to take them off (cause they don't come off lol), I CAN eat anything I want since I am careful and know my way around the braces, and I put the... that transparent wax you put to avoid the braces from hurting you. Cleaning IS indeed more boring and difficult, but being the only downside I just gather all my patience and do it anyway
