I only see turkeys during deer season and deer during turkey season.

It never fails always see something other than what you're hunting for so you switch it up and you see what you were originally hunting for!!!

I've decided that deer season I look for turkeys and turkey season I look for deer. It seems like when I look for one I find the other every time

Wow lol just so, happened to me 3 days ago, ,but I laid my bow down to just look over the cliff line ,and there he was, time I got my bow ,he was gone, not exactly what you witnessed, but basically, the same sernio.

This season - went out on the last day of bow season just to check my cameras. Haven't picked up any bucks for months. I'm walking in, no more than 100 yards from my vehicle. Cross paths with a buck standing about 25 yards from me, no bow. Figured I wouldn't see anything anyhow. Last time I make that mistake... SMDH... π’

We can only turkey hunt in the fall with a bow where Iβm at so it works out!

I've lost count of the number of nice bucks and deer in general I've encountered close up while squirrel or turkey hunting in the fall! Never fails! Always see a pile of squirrels when deer hunting as well lol... At least ya knoe you're in the right spot..

This happens to me all the time. If I'm squirrel hunting, I see turkeys. If I'm Turkey hunting I see deer. If I'm deer hunting the squirrels won't shut up lol

I don't deer hunt but I was looking for the hens I've been chasing and I walked up on a pretty nice buck that scared the crap out of both of us as he was layed down in a spot about 10-20 yards away βοΈ

Happens to me all the time, usually after deer season, when I am out cutting firewood. Never ceases to amaze me that I can try to sneak around quietly during hunting season and not see anything. Then I can drive around on my tractor and run a chainsaw full bore, and they are everywhere.
