There was a book! My sister owned it!! It was called “They fought like Hell: Women of the Civil War”!!! One story was how a woman gave birth and still fought in a battle!!! Complete and utter badass!

Milunca Savić. In WWI she took her brothers place in the serbian army and became one of the most decorated women in military history.
The band Sabaton wrote a song about her called Lady of the Dark (it's amazing, I highly recommend the animated story video).
