Audit support:
samexpert.com/ We used to say that self-assessments are not contractually stipulated, and Microsoft listened. In the new agreements, they mention self-assessments officially.
I suggest that you check whether your MBSA includes the terms for the self-assessment because that is your chance to respond to Microsoft and say, we're not going to do this self-assessment. We refuse.
However, if you are truly on the radar for a compliance review and refuse a self-assessment, Microsoft may initiate a proper audit through LCC. Be also aware that if you formally respond to the self-assessment in a manner we are compliant and owe you nothing, dear Microsoft, it elevates the probability of an audit.
Moreover, it actually makes it worse. If you're not completely sure you are compliant, and you send them an official letter signed by you saying, we found no non-compliance. And then they come with an audit. It's not going to be pleasant.
