I post about spice being damaging because I care how it negatively affects you. I post because clean readers deserve good books too. I talk about because it is affecting our society as a whole, and our hearts as individuals.

I've gotten all the flack, anger, and spite from spicy readers. I've been around the booktok/bookstagram block for a while. Newsflash, there are actually a TON of people who just want a good book without all the explicit content jumping out at them all the time.

There are many people who find spice and smut not just annoyingly prevalent, but also extremely problematic. My life was forever changed that day because on that one post, thousands and thousands of readers were commenting saying that they were looking for that exact thing. Good stories without spice

That's why accounts like mine exist. We are #sickofthesmut and tired of the only books being offered, marketed, and shared with us being full of content that isn't just on the edge, but downright damaging to us, the readers.

There's nothing quite worse as a reader than being told "you must read this book!" by a friend or influencer and then finding out it has explicit content and scenes that you constantly have to skip through.
