Wow that is crazy for a lot of these. I'm sorry these happened to you, Anya. As a cosplayer I surprisingly don't get any werid reactions or requests. Most of the time people would just smile and wave at me. I had a time I was first time cosplaying Roxy from FNAF SB but a little girl came up to me and asked "Excuse me are you Roxanne Wolf from FNAF SB?" As soon as I responded I unexpectedly sliped into character while saying "I sure am." In a friendly and playful sass tone. The girl was instantly beaming afterwards.

One time I dressed up as junko in comic con. I had a group of guys come up to me asking me to step on them for a photo. Of course I did to not make anything awkward but I felt very uncomfortable afterwards.

as someone who grew up with Pokémon, just throwing it out there but if you had Piplup your Dawn cosplay would get some more attention and not just from creeps.

Edit: I've been a fan of Pokémon since its debut in 1997 in America. Ever since Satoshi (Ash) got Pikachu in the first episode. 27 years later and its sad that Ash ended his journey.
