It is fascinating to me because of today. I was just released from the hospital earlier today due to complications from a bone marrow disorder. I was being treated, very successfully, mind you, at a Bone Marrow transplant facility. Then, United decided to be assholes and not pay the specialists who were saving my life. Clinic closed, there was a lapse in my treatment, my blood levels plummeted and I ended up in the hospital requiring life-saving measures, which insurance will have to pay.
I feel no sympathy whatsoever.

I think this is the beginning of a future trend.

CEOs are overpaid overvalued and the rest of us are underpaid and undervalued and not given the kind of humanity we all deserve when there is some type of life-threatening Health situation. That's my guess. And I do believe that the very overpaid overvalued CEOs in every industry are potentially vulnerable to such an attack. As the wealth gap widens the vitriol towards the wealthy will increase exponentially. Most likely.

Well considering today's 5 December I'll go with vendetta.
My mother has United health Medicare which you pay for every month as she has for years and now and suddenly they're denying her coverage because they don't think she's progressing fast enough. So we pay everything out of pocket which is taking all of her money rather quickly but if she had less money, should be able to go on Medicaid and be completely covered for free.
They are milking seniors dry.

Australian here. This has highlighted to the world the nefarious health insurance system the US has. We knew it wasn't good but the details are on display now and it's hard to believe such a system exists.

We are fascinated because we want to know what the motive was. The first thing I thought was it was someone who's loved one died because the insurance company wouldn't pay for surgery or other medical care that they needed to save their life. There are so many possibilities. It could be his lover's husband, a political statement, an angry family member, a worker who got fired, a mentally ill person, or mistaken identity. We are fascinated because someone assassinated someone in a high position and did it on a public sidewalk.

Could it be the beginning of "Eat the rich"? Probably not, I'd guess it was personal.

He’s being investigated by the DOJ for insider trading. Flow that lead. It was a professional hit.

Maybe he denied insurance payment to someone and devastated his life?

Why does it matter? Ultimately nothing matters anyways, people are gonna do what they’re gonna do.

Crazy right!! But soooo have been waiting for this type of event to happen. @Scott Carney I love your investigative reporting. Especially the gaslighting we Americans go through on a daily basis regarding EVERYTHING. You are much needed right now.

We are fascinated as others have mentioned I think because the crime was so brazen to be done in public on a busy morning in New York City is unheard of
My theory a rival or power struggle but I with the rest of the people that it’s someone that was denied coverage.

Did the shooter know the CEO cashed out his stocks before he took the CEO out? What is the fallout from that?

Because asking questions into what's going on in our country is the only way it will ever become stable again , of course, you're going to have your conspiracies because he is a high level person, but in general, it's just good to ask questions. In fact, you want to be a smart ass about it just proves you want to stay blind to reality.
