I met Alex and Grace with their adorable mini dachshund, Buddha at the Italian Day Festival in Vancouver this weekend.
This little guy is not your typical shy dachshund.
He greeted me with a wagging tail and a playful spirit.
Alex handed me his toy to we could play fetch, which I thought was unbearably adorable lol. 🫠
Buddha is a smart boy. He tried to sneak away to steal a hotdog from the person behind us a few times. 😂
Alex loves this little guy so much. He even grooms him to keep him looking sharp.
We captured some great photos together, and of course, Buddha was a natural model.

I just had to put down my best friend for the last 16 years last week. Seeing all these young happy and playful doggos really makes me sad, but heals my heart at the same time. I know my big guy is back on his feet running and playing again on the other side of the Rainbow Bridge, waiting for me. I love you Rudy ♥️
