I imagine knights back then could be in a clinch for an hour... And imagine how exhausting it is to kill just one trained knight.

I swear to god, I bet some knights played dead on the battlefield just to rest. Armored fighting is utterly exhausting

Its neat to see how some wrestling moves and grappling techniques actually translate into armored combat

Such a patient giant, the knight with the eisenhut. He fights like he’s got nowhere else to be. Intimidating.

On that last fight, I didn't even realize the dagger hits until I saw it sticking out. Hot damn.

It’s strange seeing the helmets on the full armor. You know that what is before is the shape of a man, but it doesn’t feel that way. Imagine being a peasant levy when the faceless steel soldier brings a warhammer down on you.

Awww man... that dagger sticking out just like... "... wait. Did you just steal my dagger and struck a potentially killing blow on my back with it?"
"Ayuuup!" yoink
"..."
"..."
" can I have it back while I bleed out, please?"
"nope, now it's mine."

looks like whoever the smaller one is, is getting better at handling the size of the other guy. Notice in the older videos he gets thrown around a lot, but he's improving.

Seeing this reminds me how much knights grabbed their great sword blades by hand with their gear. Also reminds me how most medieval shows and movies can absolutely make you think the impossible. You can't just swing a great sword around in every situation. Gotta adjust the reach for close quarters. Exactly like this.
