Btw just so everyone knows… this story is most likely false. There is no record from the time of this actually happening, and the oldest source we have was written hundreds of years after it supposedly happened. There may be some historic accuracy to it, as all hearsay stories go, but we cannot be certain that it actually happened.

Yes there is a part of this legend saying that someone was caught looking at the lady when everyone was supposed to keep their windows shut. His name was Tom and that is the origin of the phrase calling someone a Peeping Tom. I have heard accounts of awful things happening to him.
