Having debilitating chronic pain hurts. It really hurts, and bleeds you dry. I'm almost in tears about it today
I can relate to "but how do you fill up your cup when filling up your cup will give you another attack".. The hardest part in my experience is feeling like I'm missing out, the inability to pick up, and do whatever I want like normal people. Like hey let's go out tomorrow? Me: yea sure I'm available tomorrow, but my health might, or might not have other plans. So you can never really set anything in stone. The 2nd hardest part is people assuming you are lazy, and attacking you for not being able to hold a job... To have to hear remarks like "I'd like to sit on my a** all day", or "I'd like to not have to work". Meanwhile, I reply "I'd like nothing more than to feel normal, and be able to do whatever I set my mind to like normal living without chronic pain". A close family friend called me an old lady the other day. I just turned 36. I responded "ouch" thinking she's say oh I'm just joking, and isn't serious. To my surprise she replied "YES. You are an old lady. I tell you to go work, or volunteer weekly, but you stay at home, and feed the bird, and rescue cats. So what are?!!!! YOU ARE AN OLD LADY. GO. GET OUT OF THE HOUSE REGULARLY". It felt like a dagger through my chest. Stright for the juggler.
P.S I don't rely on anyone financially, nor on welfare. Never have, and never will. I'm independent in that perspective.

It sure does suck! I am right where you areā¦but us moms truly do have superpowers and the energy of a grizzly bear (weāre not perfect but a pat on the back is due when itās due) because you (we) keep pouring from our empty cup and somehow seem to fillith our families cups when needed! Itās the āthis illness isnāt going to ruin my one and only lifeā syndrome that seems to keep us going and fight for ever ounce every day and for every happiness! Unless anyone has walked a mile in a chronically Iāll persons lifeā¦they will never know the power of this saying! All the more power to you Jen! Keep smiling thru the pain and discomfort because you are strong and YOU can do it, āYou may have a chronically Ill body, but itās the only one you gotāā£ļøsending lots of love š„°ā¤ļøā¤ļøāš©¹šŖš¼š¾šš¼šš¼āāļøš
